Arrive in Tura the previous evening if Wangala is the main reason for the trip.
Wangala is best approached as a dedicated Tura-side trip with at least one overnight stay rather than a same-day movement from Shillong.
Bring gear for both wide cultural frames and tighter performance shots because the drums and costume details deserve separate treatment.
Golden-hour light can be excellent in Tura if the weather opens up.
